Samsung Asset Management's KODEX U.S. Dividend Dow Jones Target Covered Call ETF crossed the 100 billion won mark in net assets just six months after its listing, showcasing its successful growth. This ETF employs a similar stock portfolio to the SCHD ETF while incorporating a covered call strategy, maintaining a monthly dividend yield of about 1% and aiming for a 10% annual premium. Samsung Asset Management maximizes dividend income through such strategies, drawing interest from investors.
Regarding Samsung group ETFs, Korea Investment Management's ACE Samsung Group Equal Weighted ETF became the only ETF within the group to post a 5% return. This success was attributed to a lower allocation of Samsung Electronics, reducing potential losses, while yielding high returns from financial stocks like Samsung Heavy Industries and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. In contrast, other Samsung group ETFs recorded negative returns, with Samsung Electronics accounting for an average of 22.1% of their portfolios.
